Chris R. Silva, Director of Marketing for Intel’s Premium Notebooks has said he expects GTA V to come to PCs soon. Rockstar has been silent on the issue, although Grand Theft Auto games have always been released on PC a few months after the console release.

Intel of course have an interest in GTA V coming to PC. As a gaming platform, it’s important that PCs get Grand Theft Auto. Whether this opinion is based on knowledge, or just assumption we can’t say. However, as we’ve said before, it would be a huge surprise if GTA V was not released on PC eventually.

Intel believes GTA V ‘won’t be console exclusive for long’

Talking to PC Gamer, Silva goes on to suggest, ‘somebody paid a lot of money to make sure that title was exclusive’. Microsoft did that to get early exclusivity for GTA IV DLC content for Xbox 360, so there is some precedent for this.

Grand Theft Auto V has broken seven world records already, and means the series will reenter the Guinnes Book of Records, taking the place of Call of Duty for many of them. Since 2007’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Activision’s FPS has been the game to beat in terms of sales records. GTA V has ripped up those records, and it’s very unlikely the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts will be able to grab them back this year.
